The Matter world is visible, while the Antimatter is invisible. Therefore how to draw out this invisible Antimatter and reflect on a screen as visual form would be crucial to the result of my final work. It would be deliver grossly by an abstract form, hence like many pioneers of abstraction are largely spiritual. They are:

Piet Mondrian (b.1872, Amersfoort, The Netherlands: d.1944 New York City)

‘He aimed to distil the real world to its pure essence, to represent the dichotomies of the universe in eternal tension’ (Guggenheim Museum Collection.2001: P-240).

Yves Klein (b.1928, Nice; d.1962, Paris)

‘He patented under the name “International Klein Blue,” claiming that it represented the physical manifestation of cosmic energy that, otherwise invisible.’ (Guggenheim Museum Collection. 2001: P-174).

I haven’t seen his Klein Blue in real work yet, though it fascinates me to see the ‘Untitled blue monochrome (IKB 82)’. 1952, it makes me resonant with cosmic energy. The Klein Blue inspires me to put a slice of blue mono colour scene with full frame in Antimatter world of my video image.

Dan Flavin (b.1933, Jamaica, N.Y.; d, 1996, Riverhead, N.Y.)

He generated the glowing environments employing only commercial fluorescent lights in his work. His works, the nominal tree (to William of Ockham), dedicated to the 14th-century English philosopher, 1963 or greens crossing greens (to Piet Mondrian who lacked green), 1966 etc. (Guggenheim Museum Collection. 2001: P-106, 107), he created his belief in the expression of spiritual issue. (Guggenheim Museum Collection, 2001)

As my final piece of work will be a form of moving image video, I study video art from:

Bill Viola (b.1951, New York City)

He ‘Combines sophisticated video, film, and audio technology with primal archetypes and a mystical spirituality’. (Guggenheim Museum Collection, 2001)

I am studying on the above cited artists for making video in which how to express spirituality as visual form.

James Turrell (b.1943, Los Angeles

Learning about James Tarrell who deals with explorations in light and space is very awakening to me. Thanks to the tutorial on 15th January. The visualization of Antimatter, strictly speaking, is impossible, yet it will be able to show metaphorically by using light. I quote his words,

“I have an interest in the invisible light, the light perceptible only in the mind. I want to address the light we see in dreams and make spaces that seem to come from those dreams”. (Guggenheim Museum Collection, 2001: P-336)

Colour Optical Illusions

Scary Optical Illusion
‘Keep staring at this picture for about 20 seconds and then look at a white surface (a wall or a big piece of paper). One of the very classic illusions, the best thing is; the afterimage seems to be a sharper picture than the original.’ (http://www.planetperplex.com/en/color_illusions.html)
